Accessibility
We want everyone to be able to use The Investors Centre, regardless of ability or how they access the web. This page explains what we're doing to make that happen and how to let us know if something isn't working for you.

Our commitment
We're committed to making The Investors Centre accessible to everyone. We aim to meet WCAG 2.2 Level AA standards — the current best practice for web accessibility. This isn't a box-ticking exercise; we genuinely want our content to be usable by as many people as possible.
What we do
We've built accessibility into how we design and write content. Here's what that looks like in practice:
Keyboard navigation
All interactive elements can be accessed using a keyboard. Tab through links, buttons, and forms without needing a mouse.
Screen reader support
We use semantic HTML and ARIA labels to ensure screen readers can interpret our content correctly.
Text alternatives
Images include descriptive alt text. Charts and infographics have text explanations of the data they show.
Colour contrast
Text meets WCAG contrast requirements against backgrounds. We don't rely on colour alone to convey information.
Resizable text
Content remains readable and functional when text is resized up to 200% in the browser.
Clear structure
Proper heading hierarchy, descriptive link text, and logical reading order throughout all pages.
Conformance status
We've conducted an accessibility audit and continue to test regularly. Here's where we stand:
Current status
"Partially conformant" means we meet most requirements but are still working on some areas. We're honest about this — accessibility is ongoing work, not a one-time fix.
Known issues
We're aware of some accessibility issues and are working to fix them:
Currently being addressed
- Some older comparison tables may not be fully screen reader optimised — we're updating these as we review content
- A few embedded third-party tools (broker widgets) have limited accessibility controls outside our direct control
- Some PDF documents may not be fully accessible — we're working on HTML alternatives
If you encounter an issue not listed here, please let us know so we can add it to our roadmap.
Third-party content
Some content on our site comes from third parties — broker widgets, embedded videos, and external tools. While we try to choose accessible options, we don't have full control over these elements. If third-party content is causing you problems, contact us and we'll see if we can provide an alternative.
Tested with
We test our site with a range of browsers and assistive technologies:
Browsers: Chrome, Firefox, Safari, Edge (latest versions)
Screen readers: NVDA, VoiceOver, JAWS
Other tools: Keyboard-only navigation, browser zoom, high contrast mode
