Corporate Governance
How we run The Investors Centre. We're a small company, but we take governance seriously — particularly when it comes to editorial independence and managing conflicts of interest.
Last updated: 13 February 2026
Our governance principles
- Editorial decisions are made independently of commercial relationships
- All directors have equal voting rights on company matters
- Conflicts of interest are declared and managed transparently
- Financial and editorial functions are kept separate where possible
- Reader trust comes before short-term revenue
Leadership structure
TIC Investments Ltd is led by three founding directors who share responsibility for the company's direction, with specific areas of oversight:
Thomas Drury, ACII
Director
Oversees editorial quality and trading content. Responsible for ensuring reviews are accurate, fair, and based on genuine testing. Final sign-off on all platform ratings.
Adam Woodhead
Director
Leads platform testing methodology and content strategy. Responsible for maintaining scoring consistency and ensuring reviews remain current.
Dom Farnell
Director
Manages commercial partnerships and business development. Responsible for vetting partnership requests and ensuring commercial relationships don't compromise editorial independence.
Editorial independence
Our business model relies on affiliate partnerships, which creates a potential conflict of interest. We manage this through clear separation of responsibilities:
Editorial decisions (what we review, how we score, what we recommend) are made by Thomas and Adam based on testing and research — not commercial considerations.
Partnership decisions (which affiliates we work with, commercial terms) are handled by Dom, who cannot influence editorial ratings or content.
This separation isn't perfect in a small company — we all talk to each other — but the principle is clear: we will not recommend a product because it pays well, and we will criticise partners publicly if they deserve it.
We've rejected over 20 partnership offers from platforms that didn't meet our editorial standards. Revenue doesn't trump reader trust.
Conflicts of interest
We manage conflicts of interest as follows:
Affiliate relationships: Clearly disclosed on every page with affiliate links. Listed in our Editorial Policy.
Personal investments: Team members may hold investments in platforms we review. We don't let personal holdings influence ratings, and we disclose material holdings where relevant.
Gifts and incentives: We don't accept gifts, trips, or incentives from platforms we review beyond standard affiliate commissions. Review accounts are opened as regular customers.
Decision making
Major company decisions require agreement from at least two of the three directors. This includes:
Significant partnerships, changes to editorial policy, major site changes, financial commitments above operational budgets, and any decision that could affect our editorial independence or reader trust.
Day-to-day editorial decisions are made by the relevant team members within established guidelines.
