HL is the biggest UK platform for good reason. Huge fund range and a trusted name. Fees are on the high side but the service is reliable.

HL is the established name in UK investing and the customer service is genuinely good. The main gripe is the fees — they’re high compared to newer platforms. The platform and app are functional but showing their age. Still a trusted choice for long-term investors.

I knew of HL before I started investing as they are a larger UK based investment firm. Sign up was fairly easy but I do find the platform a bit clunky also the fee’s are high compared to other platforms
