Daytrading has made me realize even more clearly how rigged capitalism really is

If you have massive capital, you can pull off the dumbest, most reckless strategy and still walk away with solid daily gains simply because size absorbs mistakes and magnifies micro returns. But when you’re trading with limited capital like me, there’s zero room for error. Your strategy has to be surgically precise, highly disciplined, and hyper scalable just to stay afloat. Not to mention the sheer psychological toll and stress that comes with it.

Not quite. Smaller means our moves don’t affect anything and we can get in and out easier. Big guys have to do all kinds of shenanigans to just get their entry.

Now it’s a whole lot easier to make $100,000 off $10M than it is off 100,000, but that’s just basic math.

And getting rid of capitalism would not fix the problems you are mad about. Really, the most rigged parts aren’t the markets, it’s the business world. Like Walmart can undercut and take a loss on products to simple muscle out the smaller players then push their prices up after competition disappears. Anti competitive practices.

What it’s made me learn is how weirdly we have chosen to value time. There are many traders that can make in a few minutes what people will make in a week. And the ability that gives you to actually control your time vs most whose time is controlled by a job.
